It was essentially the first time I tried my hand at cooking! I also had some ready-to-eat stuff like poha, pulao, curries and soups.

I am a pure vegetarian (don’t even eat eggs) so availability of food was one of the concerns for me. However, the institute restaurant has vegetarian options for lunch, along with juice, soup and salad. Once a fortnight, there would be vegan dessert as well! On weekends, the restaurant would be closed (as well as the supermarkets) so I would stock some fruits for breakfast and cook something later in the day.
