This is the CBSE project I did for my class 12 Board examinations. I performed simple interference experiments at home by converting a room into a dark room (covered it with black chart paper). Commonly available laser pointers (green and red) were used as sources of light and hair strand was used as the obstacle. This gave the beautiful interference pattern seen at the top of this page (featured image). Later on, I tried using some other objects like a pinhole in aluminium foil, TEM grid, bird feathers etc. Also, I tried performing the experiments with sunlight as the source of light (in an attempt to mimic how Thomas Young performed his experiments).
