About
I went to The Mother’s International School, New Delhi, for my school education, following which I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Miranda House, University of Delhi. Afterwards, I obtained my Master’s in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, where I worked in the field of Quantum Optics. Currently, I am pursuing PhD in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, where I am working under the supervision of Prof Anand Kumar Jha in the Quantum Optics and Entanglement lab. My work is based on analysing the orbital angular momentum (OAM) spectrum of down-converted photons produced from the process of spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC). I am controlling the pump field profile in order to produce the desired shape of the OAM spectrum.
Apart from academics, I am passionate about sports (football, tennis, table tennis). I enjoy Hindustani classical music and I am learning to play the Bansuri. Occasionally, I indulge in photography and painting. While travelling by public transport, I prefer solving Rubik’s cube, sudoku and other puzzles. Wherever I go, I try to keep an eye for birds of that locality.
My detailed CV can be found below.

Please let me introduce myself…
My name is Mr. Sarn Richard Ursell, and I am E-Mailing you from Wellington, New Zealand.
Please forgive me for just contacting you, sort of “out of the blue like this”, and please realize that I did not want to carbon copy my messages, (as it is considered impolite/bad etiquette).
I managed to find your profile on Mathematica, and I have contacted you for a reason, and one of these is to make friends, if you feel comfortable with this, (if not, -then I understand completely).
I need some help with some Mathematica programming projects, and I wanted to put my message on the Wolfram Mathematica Community, but I find that their rules are far too strict and to tight.
Look, -please do not get me wrong, I am not criticizing the Wolfram Mathematica site, -they have been good to me…, -but I would like your permission if I can contact you privately and collaborate with you over some ideas for manipulating images and sound that I have had, with Mathemtica.
Is that OK/alright by you?
Please realize that I am new to Mathematica, and a beginner, and I also have a disability which effects my memory and concentration.
(I will be studying Mathematics at Victroia Univirsity this year in 2021).
The two projects involve:
1.Reversing the digits on an audio file, …and…
2.Scrabmling a partitioned audio data set made from a *.wav file.
Do I have you permission to stay in touch with you and to swap idea(s), do projects and, perhaps to make friends, and perhaps we can learn from each other?
(…-As they say, many heads cooperating are better than one…).
Many thanks for your time, and I appreciate that you are busy with your own personal life/studies, but please let me know if you are OK/alright with this…
Many thanks, I look forward to hearing from you,
Regards,
Mr. Sarn Richard Ursell.

Hello, Mr Ursell.
Thanks for contacting me.
First of all, congratulations on securing admission at an amazing university.
Indeed, it would be nice to collaborate on some Mathematica projects, as I myself enjoy programming and trying out new things. Regarding your ideas, I feel they are quite interesting. I must mention that I do not have much prior experience in audio file management. However, I do know of a few resources and people who are pretty good at this. Despite that, I would be quite enthusiastic about helping you get started in your beautiful Mathematica journey, as well as learn quite a few things from you along the way.
